committed to protecting it in an appropriate manner. This notice explains
our Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding such matters as the
kind of information we collect, how we use that information and the
choices you can make about that information. Please read this Policy
carefully. We may revise or amend this Policy in the future, so please
check this Policy from time to time. Your use of the Site signifies your

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect several different types of information. On
some pages you can order products, enter contests, answer surveys, express
opinions, subscribe to one of our online services such as newsletters, or
participate in one of our online forums or communities. The types of
personally identifiable information that may be collected includes: name,
gender, age, zip code or address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax
number and credit card information. From time to time, we may ask for
other personal information, such as your interests, occupation or your
preferences regarding various products, programs, and services. The more
information you volunteer, the more we can enrich your experience at the
Site. On certain pages of the Site, you can submit information about other
people. For example, you might submit a friend's name and e-mail address
if you wish to send an electronic greeting, or a friend's physical address
if you order a gift online and wish to send it directly to the person. The
types of personally identifiable information that may be collected about
other people include: the recipient's name, address, e-mail address, and
telephone number.
We also may collect certain personally identifiable
information when you visit the Site such as the type of browser or
operating system you are using on your computer, or the name of Internet
service provider, or how you entered the Site and your pathway through the
Site.
HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION COLLECTED
We may use the information you provide to respond to
your inquiries about our offerings, to fulfill your requests for our
products and services, and to offer you other products or services that we
believe may be of interest to you. Information that you provide about
others enables us to send them your gifts or cards, and, from time to
time, we may offer them our products or services. Information we collect
in connection with our online forums and communities is used to facilitate
participation in these online forums and communities and, from time to
time, to offer you products or services. Personally identifiable
information that we collect may be used to improve the design and content
of the Site and to enable us to personalize your experience at the Site.
We also may use this information in the aggregate to analyze usage of the
Site.
We will disclose information we maintain when required
to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order. We also may
disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's
request. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and
managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access,
maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect
online. Our employees, agents and contractors who have access to
personally identifiable information are required to protect the
information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. They may not
use the information for any purpose other than carrying out their services
for the Black Book Network and their parent company, Imagism,
Inc. Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against
unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot guarantee that
personally identifiable information we collect will never be disclosed in
a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. Inadvertent
disclosures may result, for example, when a third party misrepresents his
identity in asking the Site for access to personally identifiable
information about himself or herself for purposes of correcting possible
errors in the data. Also, personal information that you provide online,
for example, through message boards or chats, may be collected and used by
third parties which we do not control.
If we disclose personally identifiable information to
our partners, affiliates or other companies not owned by us, who want to
market products or services to you, you will be provided an opportunity to
opt out or block such uses. We may on occasion combine information we
receive online with outside records to enhance our ability to market to
you those products or services that may be of interest to you. If you
prefer not to receive marketing information from the Site, or from our
partners, affiliates or any other companies, make your request to privacy@blackbooknetwork.com.
If we ever use or transfer personally identifiable information provided to
us in ways unrelated to the ones described above, you will be provided
with an opportunity to opt out of these unrelated uses. Please note that
the Site contains links to other sites, for example, through ad banners,
logos, co-branding agreements or otherwise. These other sites may ask you
to submit information that is different from the Black Book Network
and they may have adopted a different privacy policy.
COOKIES / POP-UPS / ADWARE
To enhance your experience with the Site, some of our
web pages use "cookies," pop-up advertising, and adware. Cookies are text files we place in your
computer's browser to store your preferences. Adware is a type of cookie
which stores your preferences and allows the Site or its affiliates or
partners to market interest-specific products to you. Most browsers are initially
set to accept cookies. However, you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies,
although this will likely detract from your experience at the Site. For
example, you may not be able to personalize your preferences and you may
have difficulty in completing shopping transactions or entering contests.
Cookies do not tell us your e-mail address, but once you have chosen to
provide such information to us, it may be linked to the data stored in the
cookie.
We use cookies to understand the usage of the Site and
to improve the content and offerings on the Site. For example, we may use
cookies to personalize your experience at our web pages, such as
recognizing you by name when you return to the Site, saving your password
in password-protected areas and enabling you to use shopping carts. We
also may use cookies to offer you products or services. Please remember
that the Site contains links to other sites of affiliates, partners or
other companies, which may send their own cookies to you. There are
commercially available software programs that block the functionality of
cookies, pop-ups, and adware. The site also provides, free of charge, the BBN
Community Toolbar that enables you to block the functionality of
pop-up advertising, which could be linked to adware.
